I’m 41 years old, 5’2”, approximately 125 lbs, with measurements of 34B-30-38. I purchased a size Small in Brown.I already own the regular-length version of this cardigan in several colors and have worn them a lot, so I decided to try the cropped version as well. I specifically wanted a shorter cardigan to wear with high-waisted pants, skirts, and dresses, since the regular length can sometimes feel like a little too much fabric with those pieces. The length is perfect for what I was looking for. On my frame, it sits right around my belly button, maybe about 1/4” below it. It gives me a noticeably different proportion from the regular-length cardigan without feeling excessively cropped. I can also wear it open over a tank, partially buttoned, or completely buttoned as a top.Compared with the regular-length version, this one feels lighter and more delicate. The knit feels very similar, but the overall cardigan has a lighter feel and drape. It is definitely a lightweight cardigan rather than a heavy sweater, but it still provides a nice amount of warmth for its weight. I think it will work especially well as a transitional layer for early fall and spring, or anytime I want a little extra warmth without adding the bulk of a heavier cardigan. One difference I don’t particularly love is the cuff. The ribbed cuff on the cropped version is significantly longer than the cuff on the regular cardigan, and I personally prefer the smaller, more delicate cuff of the regular version. It isn’t a dealbreaker, but it is something I noticed immediately when comparing the two.Overall, I’m very happy with this cardigan. The shorter length gives me another option without duplicating the purpose of my regular-length cardigans, and I especially like the proportions for my height.
